Gratitude is a force that pulls our lives towards everything good…

I think God is so incredibly gracious and kind towards us even we are at our worst. He knows we have “those days” and where emotions can just be harder to manage on some days. We are human and we are emotional. It’s fun when our emotions are on the “happy” spectrum and it’s tough when they are on the “angry/sad/etc” side of the spectrum. Today, I had several times where I broke down in tears – it also is “that time of month” and so in hindsight I give myself a lot of grace and be sure to thank my husband for being there for an extra emotional wife! This afternoon while I was raking a ton of leaves (and to be frank, it was a task I didn’t really want to do… I really wanted to be taking a nap 😉 but it needed to get done and I knew it would really bless my husband if I could jump in and help out with some of the yardwork). So though I was tired and a bit emotional, I decided to play a game… the whole time I rake these leaves I am going to try and think of and say out loud anything and everything I am grateful for. And you know what? I began thanking God for the very task I was doing, for the great arm workout I was getting and for the fresh air and I began thanking God that it wasn’t raining so I could get this task done & I began thanking God that I could do this task that my body was healthy & strong… talk about a perspective shift! As we begin to speak out load what we are grateful for your perspective will begin to change – your thoughts will begin to line up with God’s thoughts! A sense of thankfulness and joy will begin to bubble up and before you know it, energy, grace and strength follow. Gratitude truly is powerful!! It pulls us out of the pit of despair!

Gratitude pulls our lives together. It causes us to be much more emotionally sound and stable. Gratitude gives birth to feelings of joy and happiness.

Gratitude pulls our relationships closer. We go to a sweeter place in the relationships we have as we appreciate and place value on our dear ones. It broadens our friendships as we extend thankfulness, appreciation, and value upon others, even strangers.

Gratitude redirects our perspectives to perceive how blessed we truly are and how we can be a blessing in the lives around us.

Gratitude pulls the greatness out of us. It causes us to rise higher and flourish in all seasons. We can make it through ANYTHING with an attitude of gratitude!

Gratitude pulls our lives closer to God. When we begin making gratitude and thankfulness apart of our everyday lives, apart of our everyday thinking and conversations – it’s amazing how we will begin to become so much more aware of all the tiny and big blessings that are around us all the time. Gratefulness causes us to see more of God and His goodness in our lives! We really are way more blessed than we give him credit for!

Here are just a few scriptures about gratitude, thankfulness, praise, & worship that I love so much:

Psalm 100:4 (Message) Enter with the password: “Thank you!” Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him.

(AMP) Enter His gates with a song of thanksgiving and His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, bless and praise His name.

Psalm 34:9 (Message) Worship God if you want the best; worship opens doors to all his goodness.

Isaiah 29:22 (Message) … Those who got off-track will get back on-track, and complainers and whiners learn gratitude.

Luke 7:43 (Message) ..She was forgiven many, many sins, and so she is very, very grateful.

Luke 17:14 (Message) Taking a good look at them, he said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” They went, and while still on their way, became clean. One of them, when he realized that he was healed, turned around and came back, shouting gratitude, glorifying God. He kneeled at Jesus’ feet, so grateful. He couldn’t thank him enough – and he was a Samaritan.

Colossians 4:2 (Message) Pray diligently. Stay alert, with your eyes wide open in gratitude.

I’m thankful that He has given us instructions for how we will function best here on earth. Truths to living a happy, fulfilling and satisfying life. The power of Gratitude is profoundly impacting my everyday life in the absolute best way possible, dear friends! I invite you to join me in this wonderful way of living – in everything giving thanks, speaking the language of thanksgiving, the dialect of gratitude.

Will you join me in this?

Love you dear friends,

Angie

You were made for a glorious life

Hello there, beautiful one!

Did you know that God has designed a glorious life for you? Who, Me? Yes, You! Romans 3:21-24 from The Message translation speaks of this glorious life that God has willed for each of us. It says that we are completely incapable of living this glorious life God has willed for us on our own BUT the good news is… God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.

Dictionary defines Glorious as: brilliantly beautiful, delightful, enjoyable, wonderful, magnificent, splendid, full of glory. To be known by many. Grandeur. Making a strong or vivid impression. Bright, shining, divine, radiant, brilliant, gorgeous & dazzling. Heavenly, famous, noted, celebrated, noble, honored, elevated, triumphant, eminent, renowned, proud, splendid, dreamy, tremendous, great, fantastical, fabulous & out of this world!!

These are the kind of words that describe our glorious lives friends! Ponder these and take them to the deepest core of who you are- may these life-giving words be imparted into your identity.

Beautiful friends, God has a gloriously beautiful plan for your life and for mine. He is far greater and more good than we can possibly even imagine. He made a way for us to live our lives gloriously against all the odds.

When you give your life to Jesus you then have the helper, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus living on the inside of you. He is ethe one who empowers us to live our lives gloriously.

We can respond kindly to our spouses and our children. We can cultivate the language of thanksgiving. We can choose to meditate on the good, the lovely, the beautiful & the praiseworthy. We can bring order and beauty to our home through organizational routines. We can choose to eat and drink life-giving, nutritious foods and we can fit in a regular exercise for a healthy body, heart & mind. We can cultivate a healthy, fun-loving, encouraging, best-friend and romantic relationship with our spouse. We can raise our kids with the help of the Holy Spirit. We can enjoy every season of parenting. We can have a home full of peace, love, generosity & joy. A home where everyone who lives there and everyone who comes in feels valued and important. We can do hard things and we can go through difficult seasons with grace, wisdom, peace and joy.

We are in this together, my beautiful friends. We can live this life gloriously because it’s not on us- It’s our generous Jesus who lives through us. When it seems difficult, lean into Jesus, He will help. Guard your time with him and his word on a daily basis, if possible. He wants to love on you, he wants to tell you who he has created you to be. He will remind you of who you really are and whose you are! He will lead you in this glorious life that he has for you. He loves you so much.

Blessings and all my love, my dear friends.
